Fair Use Policy for Webhooks

Effective Date: November 1, 2024

This Fair Use Policy ("Policy") outlines the permissible and prohibited uses of the webhook service ("Webhooks") provided by SMASHSEND (the "Company"). By using the Webhooks, you agree to comply with this Policy. This Policy is designed to ensure a fair, reliable, and secure experience for all users.

1. Unlimited Connections with Fair Use

  • Starter, Growth and Business: Users subscribed to Starter, Growth, Business check the maximum allowed policy on our pricing page.
  • Tiers 1-6: Users subscribed to tiers 1-6 are allowed to create an unlimited number of webhook connections per workspace.
  • Technical Limitation: As of today, a maximum of 20 webhook connections per workspace is technically supported. This limitation may change in the future as the system evolves.

2. Prohibited Uses

To maintain the integrity and stability of the Webhooks service, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Fraudulent Use: Creating webhook connections that point to fraudulent or malicious URLs.
  • System Abuse: Generating excessive webhook connections or traffic with the intent or effect of disrupting or overloading our systems.
  • Unauthorized Access: Using Webhooks to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, data, or network.
  • Irregular Spikes in Traffic: Causing abnormal, unexpected spikes in traffic through webhook activity, including automated or bot-generated requests.

3. Monitoring and Enforcement

  • Monitoring: The Company reserves the right to monitor webhook activity for compliance with this Policy. While we do not enforce strict connection limits for Tiers 1-6, we actively observe for irregular usage patterns that could indicate abuse.
  • Blocking Suspicious Activity: If an unusual or suspicious spike in webhook traffic is detected, we may temporarily or permanently block offending webhook connections or workspaces to protect the system and all users.
  • Notification of Action: In the event of a block, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the affected user(s) and provide an opportunity to address the issue.

4. Responsibility for Use

  • User Responsibility: Users are responsible for ensuring that their webhook connections are used in compliance with this Policy and applicable laws.
  • Consequences of Violation: Any violation of this Policy may result in suspension or termination of access to the Webhooks, at the Company's sole discretion.

5. Changes to This Policy

The Company reserves the right to update this Policy at any time to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or service improvements. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or through the platform.
